Welcome to the Rutherglen High School Technical Dept.
Teaching staff: Mr A. Campbell

S1 to S3 is Broad General Education based on Curriculum for Excellence experiences and outcomes. Pupils are taught how to safely use a variety of workshop tools and materials to make various craft items. Coursework is differentiated to the needs of pupils.

Pupils are assessed in a variety of ways including Teacher questioning, observations, written assessments, and self-evaluation.

We aim to make learning enjoyable and achievable for all. Pupils will develop a broad range of useful design and technology skills and desirable personal qualities.

S4 to S6 is the Senior Phase with a focus on National Qualifications in Practical Craft Skills and Practical Woodworking.

At all levels, pupils are encouraged to work as independently as possible, developing skills for work and awareness of environmental issues.
